General Info for the May 2021 Event (The Stray)

 

The following info is for the May Event taking place in central Harrogate on May 22-23. For info & tickets on the Summer Event taking place at Ripley Castle, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

Getting Here & Parking

 

Getting here: May 2021 Edition (The Stray)

Address: Oatlands Stray, Oatlands Drive, Harrogate HG1, 1BJ

By Car: There is no on-site parking available on site for July Edition of The Harrogate Food & Drink Festival. Those arriving by car should head to one of the towns multi-storey car parks, which are all within 5 minutes walk of the event site. These include the Jubilee multi storey car park & the West Park multi storey car park.

We recommend walking to site where possible.

Bus & Train: Harrogate has very good transport links. The event site is less than 5 minutes walk from the bus and train station.

FAQ (July Edition – The Stray)

 

Dogs

We love the pooches at the Harrogate Food & Drink Festival – bring them along! We just ask that you keep them on their lead and respect other attendees at the festival.

Is free parking available? Not at this event. Parking on The Stray is illegal. Those arriving by car should head to one of the towns multi-storey car parks, which are all within 5 minutes walk of the event site. These include the Jubilee multi storey car park & the West Park multi storey car park.

Are dogs welcome? Yes, dogs are welcome at the event, we just ask that you keep them on a lead.

Is the festival covered? Parts of the festival are covered, but please bring appropriate clothing, sun block etc.

Can I bring my own furniture? Yes, folding chairs, tables etc are most welcome.

Can I bring my own food and drink? Outside food and drink is not permitted on site (water is ok).

Can we leave the festival and come back in? Yes, as long as you get a stamp/wristband from the entrance.

What are the opening times?  Please see above.

Can I buy tickets on the day? Yes, it may just take a couple minutes longer to get in to the festival. Tickets can still be bought online during the festival weekend and we encourage this (you’ll get in quicker!).

Where on The Stray is the festival? The festival takes place on the Oatlands Drive section on the Stray. This is bordered by Oatlands Drive, Knaresborough Road and Wetherby Road.

Getting Here & Parking

 

Getting here: Summer Edition (Ripley Castle)

 

Address: Chapel Flatts, Ripley Castle, Ripley, HG3 3AX

By Car: We have FREE on site parking available.

By Bus: The bus number 36 stops directlt outside the event site and links the event to Ripon, Harrogate & Leeds.

By Train: Harrogate has very good train links. From Harrogate Train Station, the festival is connected by the bus number 36.

Where at Ripley Castle is the festival? (Ripley Festival Only) The festival located next to the main Ripley Car Park and Ripley Cricket Club. Parking is located here, directly next to the festival site. Yellow directional signage will be available for you to follow as you approach the event site.
