Getting Here & Parking

 

Address: Chapel Flatts, Ripley Castle, Ripley, HG3 3AX

By Car: We have FREE on site parking available.

By Bus: The bus number 36 stops directlt outside the event site and links the event to Ripon, Harrogate & Leeds.

By Train: Harrogate has very good train links. From Harrogate Train Station, the festival is connected by the bus number 36.

**Please note, due to other events taking place at Ripley Castle, full entry into the Ripley Castle grounds are not included in the cost of the ticket this year. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

FAQ: August Edition – Ripley Castle

Is free parking available? Yes we have free car parking on site available, donations to charity partner Harrogate Mind are welcome and greatly appreciated.

Are dogs welcome? Yes, dogs are welcome at the event, we just ask that you keep them on a lead, pick up any mess and respect other attendees.

Is the festival covered? Parts of the festival are covered, but please bring appropriate clothing, sun block etc.

Can I bring my own furniture? Yes, folding chairs, tables etc are most welcome. Please take these home with you when you leave.

Can I bring my own food and drink? Outside food and drink is not permitted on site (water and baby food is fine).

Can we leave the festival and come back in? Yes, as long as you get a stamp/wristband from the entrance.

What are the opening times?  Please see above.

Can I buy tickets on the day? Yes, it may just take a couple minutes longer to get in to the festival. We highly recommend buying tickets in advance online – they can still be bought online during the festival weekend (you’ll get in quicker!).

Where at Ripley Castle is the festival? The festival is located next to the main Ripley Car Park and Ripley Cricket Club. Parking is located here, directly next to the festival site. Yellow directional signage will be available for you to follow as you approach the event site.

General Info for the June 2021 Event at The Stray

 

The following info is for the June Event taking place in central Harrogate on June 26-27. For info & tickets on the Summer Event taking place at Ripley Castle, please scroll to the bottom of this page.

 

 

Dates & Opening Times

Date of Stray Event: 26-27 June, 2021

Opening Times: 10am – 8pm Saturday, 10am-7pm Sunday

IMPORTANT TRAVEL NOTE: Please DO NOT travel to the event if you have not purchased a ticket. Online tickets are required for this event.

Will we be releasing more tickets for this event? For sold out dates, more tickets may be released on the day depending on live capacity. This will be updated hourly from 1pm. This is not guaranteed.

 

Getting Here & Parking

Address: Oatlands Stray, Oatlands Drive, Harrogate HG1, 1BJ

By Car: There is no on-site parking available on site for June Edition of The Harrogate Food & Drink Festival. Those arriving by car should head to one of the towns multi-storey car parks, which are all within 5 minutes walk of the event site. These include the Jubilee multi storey car park & the West Park multi storey car park.

We recommend walking to site where possible.

Bus & Train: Harrogate has very good transport links. The event site is less than 5 minutes walk from the bus and train station.

FAQs: June Edition – The Stray

 

Will this event take place under current COVID restrictions? Yes. We have taken precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all, while operating under current government advice. We occupy a huge event space, which provides plenty of space for attendees.

How do the hourly tickets work? If you have purchased a ticket for a specific time, this is the time you need to arrive at the festival (within 30 mins). This is to minimise the chance of any crowding at the festival. There is no limit on how long you can stay at the festival.

My ticket doesn’t have a time on it, what should I do? Tickets that were purchased before 15/06/21 may not have a time on them. If they do not have a specific time on them, you can arrive any time you want. There is no limit on how long you can stay at the festival.

Is free parking available? Not at this event. Parking on The Stray is illegal. Those arriving by car should head to one of the towns multi-storey car parks, which are all within 5 minutes walk of the event site. These include the Jubilee multi storey car park & the West Park multi storey car park.
